It can define your eyelashes and make your eyes pop, bringing everyone’s attention to the “windows to your soul.” But if you wear eyeliner every day, you know how irritating the daily routine of applying it and taking it off can be (not to mention the raccoon-eye residue you may see at the end of the day). If that sounds like your daily makeup routine, you might consider permanent eyeliner. Although this procedure could revolutionize your morning schedule, you must choose carefully from the many permanent eyeliner styles available. PERMANENT EYELINER STYLES

Different women prefer different permanent eyeliner styles. Their skin tone, hair color, eye color, and plain old preferences often impact the decision. The first step toward making a confident decision is to know and understand your options, so let’s start there.

HOW BOLD SHOULD YOUR PERMANENT MAKEUP BE?

The thickness of your permanent eyeliner will determine how bold or dramatic its appearance will be. Take a moment and think about whether you want your eyeliner to be thick, thin, or somewhere in the middle. Unlike a brush or pencil, a tattoo needle does start within the eyelashes, so make sure you clarify how thin you want your eyeliner. How thick do you currently wear your eyeliner on a day-to-day basis?

Eyelash enhancement is an extremely subtle application of the tattoo. It can be done either as a thin line that does not leave the lash area or as a dot at the base of each eyelash. This does not give an eyeLINER look, but more of a subtle darkening and thickening of the eyelashes. This is also great for guys who want their eyes to be more noticed but not have a line.
Thin eyeliner is great for women who want a more natural look but still want the boldness of a line. Even a very thin line can make the eyes pop in a natural, attractive way. This is a wonderful option for women who don’t wear a lot of makeup.
Medium-width eyeliner is ideal for women who wear makeup every day and want a look that hovers somewhere between natural and bold.
Thick eyeliner should only be selected by women who wear a significant amount of makeup each day and are ready to commit to a permanently bold makeup look. Due to the trauma of the tattooing procedure, we cannot safely tattoo an extremely thick line to the eyelid area.

Keep in mind that you can always add to your permanent eyeliner, but you can’t take anything away. So if you’re unsure how thick of a line to request, start thin. If you eventually want to add more drama or boldness for an evening, you can apply makeup over the top of the tattoo.

WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU LIKE?

Next, you will need to decide the color of your eyeliner. Unsurprisingly, the two most common colors are brown and black. However, we offer alternative colors, like green, blue, or violet. To determine which shade is right for you, examine the coloring of your skin, hair, and eyes, and then think about the look you’re hoping to achieve. For instance, if you’re pale, blonde, and hoping for a natural look, you might choose a brown instead of a bolder black.
